5 Reasons To Visit Disney's Pandora - The World of Avatar
Posted on 05/12/2017 | About Orlando, Florida
I recently had the opportunity to attend the Disney Travel Agent Preview of Pandora - The World of Avatar, hosted in Toronto, Ontario. We were shown a fascinating, entertaining presentation, showcasing all of the new offerings at Walt Disney World in Florida.
Most exciting of all was Pandora, this immersive new land located in Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. This park has widely been considered a half-day park by guests and Vacation Planners alike. In fact, the park's operating hours had Animal Kingdom closing earlier than dusk as far as one can remember.
With Pandora, Disney has created an world that is sure to attract new guests, entice returning guests who haven't been to Animal Kingdom in a while, and most of all, will encourage guests to stay until park closing.
Top 5 Reasons To Visit Pandora - The World of Avatar
5. Valley Of Mo'ara
One of the biggest (no pun intended) features is the land itself. Throughout the Valley Of Mo'ara, giant floating mountains, gorgeous waterfalls and a fully-immersive environment, full of surprises and never-before-seen theme park technology. Many in the Disney Parks online community see this as Disney's response to Universal's Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
4. The Food
If you enjoy tasting new, interesting foods, Pandora is the place for you! Not only does the food look incredible, all of the dining reviews so far have been very positive. Over the next several months and years, you can expect to see the food offerings continue to expand and evolve.
3. Avatar Flight Of Passage
This ride appears to be a combination of everything people love about Soarin' from Epcot and the new TRON ride at Shanghai Disneyland. Climb aboard a Banshee, one of the dragon-like creatures from Avatar, and go on a high-flying adventure. This attraction will feature moderate thrills and some "4D" effects, such as wind, scents and high-tech surround sound.
2. Na'vi River Journey
Boat rides are iconic at Disney Parks. Think of Pirates Of The Caribbean, Splash Mountain, Living With The Land, rides in Epcot's Mexico and Norway Pavilions, and many, many others worldwide. With this brand new ride, Disney is mixing animatronics, bio-luminescent plants and projected animation to present an unforgettable attraction.
1. Nighttime Experience
Pandora was specifically created with the nighttime experience in mind. Walking through Pandora after dark presents an unreal atmosphere, which will make you truly believe you're on a different planet.
These incredible new experiences will provide you with SO much to see and do at Pandora - The World of Avatar, at Disney's Animal Kingdom. The only problem is that it leaves you will less time to spend at the other parks and the newly-expanded Disney Springs entertainment area!
